Seagate (http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/) is a technologies company that specializes in computer hard drives and storage solutions- having external storage, laptop storage, desktop storage, home entertainment, and network storage. Some external storage products of theirs are the FreeAgent Desktop and Portable Drives (with portable and desktop options for fast data transfer rates - for storing photos, music, or other items), Seagate Replica (single or multiple-PC backup for office or home), Expansion Hard Drives (easy add-on storage), and BlackArmor. A laptop storage product of theirs is the Momentus Hard Drives, which are for applications requiring big performance). Desktop storage products of theirs are the Barracuda Hard Drives (high capacity desktop drive for mainstream PCs performance PCs, gaming PCs, etc.) and the Maxtor DiamondMax Hard Drives (for applications that require a balance of most-popular capacities, basic performance and reliability) . Some of their home entertainment products are the Seagate Showcase DVR Storage Expander (additional storage for DVRs and Media Centers) and FreeAgent Theater HD Media Player Solution (for viewing your digital media on the TV). The network storage product is the BlackArmor, which manages data and digital content for networks up to fifty systems.
My favorite product of Seagate’s is the Seagate Showcase DVR Storage Expander because it is exactly what I need to hold all of my favorite TV shows that I have recorded because I do not have time to watch them on their airing day. Adding to the fact is the build up my DVR sees sometimes because of my family’s numerous different choices of shows that they want to watch but end up having to DVR because of busy schedules.
Samsung (www.samsung.com/us/index.html) or Samson Electronics is a manufacturer of electronics and digital media; it’s four main areas of focus are: Digital Media, Semiconductor, Telecommunication Network, and LCD Digital Appliance. Samsung is the global market leader in more than sixty products, including semiconductors- such as DRAM, SDRAM, flash memory, and hard drives; digital displays- such as LCD displays, plasma displays, and OLED display; home electronics- such as Tvs, DVD players, Blu-ray players, and projectors; mobile devices- such as mobile phones, MP3 players, digital cameras, and camcorders; home appliances- such as refrigerators, washing machines, ovens, vacuum cleaners, and air conditioners; and computing products- such as monitors, laptops, UMPCs, CD and DVD drives, laser printers, and fax machines. The semiconductor division of Samsung is the world’s largest memory chip and second largest semiconductor manufacturer worldwide; this has been the case for DRAM and SRAM for over a decade.
My favorite product of Samsung has to be the Samsung BD-P3600 Blu-ray Player, I’d love to get one, because of the ratings and feedback that I have read- from those who already own one. A favorite hobby of mine is to hang out with my friends or family and watch movies and this would be my ideal product to do so. I’d love to be able to watch all my favorite DVDs on a Blu-ray player which also has wireless connections and Netflix and Pandora connections.
Kingston (http://www.Kingston.com) is a technologies company that specializes in flash memory (USB Flash Drive). They also have CompactFlash, Photo/Video, Mobile, and Readers; some of which include the Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) Video (for digital camcorders), Secure Digital Elite Pro (for digital cameras), Compact Flash (CF)- for digital SLR cameras, and MobilLite (9-in-1 Reader). The DataTraveler Family- USB Flash Drives are many, coming in a range of models ideal for home, work, school, or small business. The divided groups- the Consumer/Small Business, Enterprise, and Government- have a numerous amount of choices in different sizes, colors, and price ranges. Also the privacy or security of the USB differs from each group, in the Consumer/Small Business group that is not the focus whereas when it gets into the Enterprise group and the Government group the names of the products reflect more stress in privacy and security. For example in the Consumer/Small Business group the USB are called DataTraveler 150, DataTraveler HyperX, DataTraveler Mini Slim, DataTraveler Locker, and DataTraveler Generation 2(G2); in the Enterprise group the USB are called DataTraveler Vault and DataTraveler Vault-Privacy Edition; in the Government group the USB are called DataTraveler Vault, DataTraveler Vault- Privacy Edition, and DataTraveler BlackBox.
My favorite product of Kingston is probably the Secure Digital Ultimate because I have a digital camera that I use a lot and I think this USB would help it function at an even better level. The Ultimate has speeds up to 133x, writes up to 20MB/sec, and is available in 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB. This chip would enable me to store more pictures than I can now and make my camera function faster so I can take more photos.
